College of Medicine at Al-Nahrain University Organizes an Awareness Lecture on Energy Sustainability and Climate Change Mitigation

In implementation of the directives of Al-Nahrain University Presidency, the College of Medicine at Al-Nahrain University organized an awareness lecture entitled:
 “Energy Sustainability and the Environment in  Climate Change”
 as part of its efforts to promote environmental awareness and reinforce the concepts of energy conservation and sustainability.

The lecture was delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Lama Karim Mohammed from the Department of Family and Community Medicine on Wednesday, 15/4/2026, at the main hall. It addressed the challenges associated with climate change and emphasized the importance of adopting sustainable practices in energy consumption.

The lecture also highlighted the role of academic institutions in spreading environmental awareness and promoting positive behaviors to preserve natural resources, thereby contributing to addressing contemporary environmental challenges.

The event was attended by a number of faculty members and staff, who actively engaged with the lecture topics, stressing the importance of continuing such initiatives to support and enhance environmental culture within the university.
