Al-Nahrain College of Medicine Wins Second Place in the University-Wide Arts and Drawing Competition

Al-Nahrain College of Medicine secured second place in the University-Wide Drawing Competition organized by Al-Nahrain University as part of the annual program of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, through the Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Authority, under the supervision of the University’s Student Activities Department, for the first semester of the 2026–2027 academic year.

The College’s Student Activities Division participated in the competition, which witnessed broad participation from students representing several university colleges, including Medicine, Science, Political Science, Information Engineering, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Business Economics, Law, and Engineering.

The College achieved second place in recognition of the outstanding performance of its students in the competition:

• Qamar Mohammed

• Maryam Ahmed

On this occasion, Prof. Dr. Salman Ali Hassan, Head of the College’s Student Activities Division, expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to Professor Dr. Anees K. Nile, Dean of the College of Medicine – Al-Nahrain University, for his continuous support for artistic, sports, and cultural student activities and his commitment to encouraging students to participate in university events.

He also commended the Dean’s efforts to develop students’ talents, nurture their creative abilities, strengthen their presence in university competitions and events, and support student initiatives. Such efforts contribute to fostering an aware and ambitious generation capable of creativity and active participation across various fields.
