Al-Nahrain University College of Medicine Honors Faculty and Staff Members on the Occasion of Their Retirement
The Council of the College of Medicine at Al-Nahrain University, represented by the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Anees K. Nile, and the members of the College Council, honored a number of faculty members and staff during the first session of the College Council, held on September 7, 2026, in recognition of their distinguished efforts and their academic and professional contributions throughout their years of service at the College on the occasion of their retirement.
The honorees included Prof. Dr. Hala Sameh Arif, a faculty member in the Department of Pediatrics, in recognition of her academic and scientific contributions and her distinguished achievements in her field of specialization. She is regarded as one of the prominent academic figures in pediatrics and has played a significant role in providing the College’s students with knowledge and scientific expertise, thereby contributing to the enrichment of the educational and academic process.
Prof. Dr. Moataz Abdul Majeed Abdul Aziz, a faculty member in the Department of Pathology, Forensic Medicine Division, was also honored in recognition of his distinguished academic and scientific career and his contributions to the field of specialization. He is considered one of the prominent academic figures in forensic medicine, in addition to his important role in educating students and transferring his scientific knowledge and expertise to them, which contributed to supporting the College’s scientific mission.
The honoring also included a number of College staff members on the occasion of their retirement: Technical Manager Zuhair Ali Hussein from the Administrative Affairs Division, Manager Hind Mohammed Ahmed from the Registration Division, and Technical Manager Essam Ali Hassan from the Human Resources Division, in appreciation of their efforts and dedicated service throughout their years of employment at the College.
In the same context, the College Council honored Assistant Professor Dr. Hind Shakir Ababoub on the occasion of the completion of her duties as Secretary of the College Council, in recognition of her distinguished efforts and valuable contributions during her tenure in this position.
This honoring reflects the College of Medicine at Al-Nahrain University’s commitment to recognizing the efforts of its faculty and staff and appreciating their academic, administrative, and professional contributions. It also represents an expression of appreciation for their careers and the services they have provided to the College, its students, and its academic and scientific mission.
