Scientific Participation by the Head of the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry in a Master's Thesis Defense at the University of Basrah
Prof. Dr. Astabraq Abdul-Rasool, Head of the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the College of Medicine, Al-Nahrain University, participated as Chair of the Examination Committee for a Master's thesis defense held at the College of Medicine, University of Basrah.
The thesis investigated urinary glycosaminoglycan levels in patients with mucopolysaccharidosis (MPS) undergoing enzyme replacement therapy, with the aim of assessing these levels and evaluating their role in monitoring disease status and treatment response among patients in southern Iraq.
This academic participation reflects the commitment to strengthening scientific and academic collaboration among Iraqi universities. It also highlights the contribution of academic expertise to enriching scientific discussions, supporting postgraduate students, and advancing the research process.
