1- Program Vision
The program aims to achieve leadership and excellence locally, regionally, and globally in the field of medical education, scientific research, and community service.
In addition to achieving sustainability and leadership in the medical field regionally and globally.
2- Program Mission
The college seeks to achieve leadership and excellence in academic performance by graduating competent doctors in basic and clinical sciences, qualified to provide high-quality health services, and advancing scientific research within the framework of ethical values and traditions by following best global health practices and achieving the following objectives:
- Achieving the college's output of doctors specified later through a comprehensive curriculum based on body systems, adopting effective self-learning strategies using advanced global concepts in medical education and scientific research.
- Developing the college's academic programs in accordance with international standards in its educational programs and medical services to compete in international classification lists.
- Developing educational, training, administrative, and leadership skills among faculty members and administrators.
- Providing a supportive environment for creativity by encouraging scientific research and raising the efficiency of research capabilities while ensuring expansion in the production of applied scientific research within ethical standards.
- Activating participation, coordination, and integration between the college and society through implementing health care programs to serve community needs and provide health for its members in both preventive and curative aspects.
- Establishing scientific, cultural, and knowledge exchange relations with regional and international universities and professional organizations, particularly regarding global health problems and health problems resulting from injustice and inequality among community members, while considering the privacy of our society and its authentic values.
3- Program Objectives
The program aims to supply society with graduates armed with scientific, human, and social skills and abilities, emphasizing scientific rigor to qualify them to provide the best medical services to the community.
The college also aims to apply international quality and accreditation standards to achieve global scientific communication for graduates.
4- Program Accreditation
Conditional accreditation was obtained from the Iraqi National Accreditation Council, with the remaining accreditation standards to be completed within a period not exceeding two years from the date of issuance of the letter (24-5-2022).
The college is awaiting accreditation from the Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission for Higher Education Institutes.

8- Expected Learning Outcomes
- Preparing competent doctors and scientists who possess basic medical and scientific backgrounds in addition to clinical and research skills to practice their work by following the art, skills, and ethics of the medical profession (A1 and B1).
- Preparing doctors capable of providing immediate care in emergency rooms and ambulance care services, able to choose diagnostic procedures, and prescribe treatment safely and professionally (B2).
- Preparing doctors with effective communication skills with patients, their families, the community, and colleagues from the knowledge and skills acquired in behavior, psychiatry, ethics, community medicine, and health care sciences (A2 and B3).
- Preparing doctors capable of using medical information effectively, documenting it accurately, processing data correctly, and maintaining its confidentiality and privacy (A3 and B4).
- Preparing doctors capable of lifelong learning, teaching others, working well as a multi-task team member in a collaborative spirit to ensure better health care services, able to work independently, and ready for postgraduate studies in any branch of medicine (B5 and C1 and C5).
- Preparing doctors capable of applying scientific methods in conducting research, possessing competitive skills at the local and global levels (A4 and B6).
- Preparing doctors who are decision-makers with leadership abilities in society, dedicated with devotion, respecting individuals and society regardless of type, gender, religion, race, and nationality (C1 and C3 and C6 and C7).
9- Teaching and Learning Strategies
Including theoretical lectures, practical training such as laboratory work, clinical training, and seminars.

Mid-course exams, end-of-course exams, clinical exam, laboratory work exams, daily exams, and seminars.

Professional Development
Orientation of New Faculty Members: New faculty members are required to take a teaching methods course in addition to publishing two research papers in the general specialty.
Professional Development for Faculty Members: This is done through a set of courses and workshops held by the Medical Education Unit periodically during the academic year for all faculty members, covering the following topics: curriculum development within teaching strategies, assessment and examinations, and dealing with students.

This is done by submitting the minutes of the scientific committee regarding curriculum updates to the Curriculum Development Committee in the Medical Education Unit for review, then submitted to the College Council for approval of the academic program development.
