The department strives to achieve scientific and cognitive integration and reach global standards in medical education.
Mission and Objectives
- Meeting the country's need for highly competent pediatricians qualified to be leaders in the medical and educational field.
- Clinical training for fourth and sixth year students, introducing them to how to reach a diagnosis through medical history, clinical examination, and diagnostic tests.
- Supervision and follow-up of postgraduate students (Iraqi and Arab Board).
Outcomes
- Preparing doctors capable of handling emergency clinical cases and providing treatment in the emergency room and outpatient clinic.
- Preparing doctors with expertise in diagnosing and treating various pediatric conditions in hospital wards.
- Preparing specialist doctors capable of conducting scientific research in pediatrics and able to become faculty members in medical colleges.
