Rules and Instructions
The beneficiary may use the information resources contained in the library in accordance with the applicable systems and regulations.
First: General Instructions
- Each beneficiary shall record his name and signature in the daily library register.
- Personal bags and books shall be left on the designated table.
- Maintain quiet and order inside the library.
- Use of computers for academic purposes is permitted.
- Food and smoking are prohibited inside the library.
- Maintain cleanliness of the library and its holdings of publications and furniture.
- Return chairs to their designated places after finishing reading.
- Loan times are set from 8:30 a.m. until the end of official working hours.
Second: Loan Specifications
The aforementioned loan period is cancelled if the library needs the borrowed materials before the loan period expires, and it has the right to request the return of borrowed materials within 48 hours in cases of loans exceeding two weeks.
Third: Loan Regulations
- Loan services are not provided until the beneficiary obtains a library ID card, and he may not borrow using others' ID cards.
- The beneficiary is fined an amount of (5000) dinars in case of loss of the library ID card.
- Beneficiaries from outside the college are allowed to borrow for internal use only.
- Borrowing is prohibited for reference books and periodicals except for copying purposes inside the library for a period of two hours, while retaining the beneficiary's personal ID card.
- The loan period for periodicals is set at three days and for three magazines for faculty members only.
- The loan period of resources may be renewed if it does not conflict with the library's need for them, for one week and for two consecutive periods; borrowing is not allowed after the third time unless the resource is left in the library for 48 hours.
- Renewal of borrowing is not permitted for any library user if the book is requested by another library user.
- The library official may determine the loan period for some information resources according to need and usage.
- Borrowing of free education books is determined for assistants and faculty members only in their field of specialization.
- Borrowing of free education books is determined for undergraduate and postgraduate students; for diploma students, borrowing is determined based on available additional copies.
- All borrowed resources from the library and the free education unit shall be returned before the start of the summer vacation; the student will not be given the final exam result until he obtains a clearance certificate from the library division.
- The book must be preserved and not written on, damaged, or lost; the borrower is required to compensate the library with an original copy or five photocopies or pay ten times the price of the book in hard currency.
- A fine of (500) dinars is imposed for each day of delay per book.
