Among the activities and quality services provided by the members of the branch of surgery, neurosurgery surgery in the medicine of Al-Nahrain, is the conduct of about 350 operations of the Kama Nayef at the Hospital of Neuroscience in 2017 by a Prof. Dr. Yasir Mohammed Hassan Hamandi , head of Surgery Branch and Prof. Dr. Abdul-Amir Al-Khafaji, chairman of the Iraqi Council of Neurosurgery (out of about (of about 2000 performed in Iraq in 2016 and 2017) for patients suffering from various brain tumors, cerebral hemorrhagic aneurysms and fifth nerve inflammation.
