On Thursday, 7/3/2019 a meeting was held at the Faculty of Medicine at Al-Nahrain University between the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, represented by the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Alaa Ghani Hussain, with the National Adviser for Mental Health Dr. Emad Abdul Razzaq, and the Technical Specialist for Health and Psychosocial Support Blandine Bruryere ( International Medical Organization ) within (International Medicine Craps). In the presence of representatives of the branches of internal medicine, family & community medicine, pediatric and gynecology and obstetrics and the medical education unit at the college . The meeting included a discussion of integration of mental health concepts within the four branches within the curriculum of medical faculties, it discussed the possibility of providing logistical support and training the trainers and students in this field to activate these concepts, develop and apply them correctly, and the difference is how to deal with the patient in daily medical practices. The Dean praised the efforts of the National Adviser for Mental Health and the Ministry of Health in supporting these programs which aimed to upgrading the status of graduates of Iraqi medical faculties.
