The Educational and Psychological Guidance Unit was formed in our college according to Administrative Order No. 112/8/4019 on 9/25/2013.
The Psychological Guidance and Educational Guidance Unit in the College of Medicine consists of a group of faculty members with a teaching position for each academic stage who communicate with students and provide them with psychological advice and guidance and educational guidance individually and collectively. The unit submits an annual plan that it works to achieve, including workshops, seminars, visits and supervision of various activities carried out by students.

Providing psychological and educational guidance services to achieve the ideal university student model with the aim of advancing society.
Mission:
Seeking to provide appropriate mechanisms to provide support, psychological guidance and educational guidance to college students and work to develop their skills and abilities.
Objectives:

Communicating with students and listening to their academic problems and difficulties they face and the ways to solve them.

Clarifying the rights and duties required of the student and the necessity of taking into account the university campus, and the student's relationship with his professors, colleagues and college members.

Helping students deal with their psychological, social and behavioral problems appropriately.

Following up on students who are struggling academically and knowing the reasons leading to this and finding appropriate solutions.

Developing students' personal skills and abilities to achieve the best results.

Involving students in the activities and events held by the unit and encouraging them to participate in volunteer work.

Holding various awareness seminars and workshops.
Mechanism of work of the Guidance Unit:

Holding periodic meetings for members of the unit to develop a guidance plan that suits the requirements of the stage, including seminars, workshops, visits and volunteer work.

Holding meetings for guidance officials with students of the academic stages, each according to his stage, to discuss the problems they suffer from and classify the problems into their categories: academic, psychological or social and find appropriate solutions for them.

Receiving some psychological cases of students directed by faculty members or students.

Guiding students with appropriate solutions according to the type of problem.

Seek advice from a specialist if the problem is psychological and requires treatment and follow-up.

Write studies and recommendations to the college deanship regarding some academic problems.

Follow up on some special cases of students and communicate with them continuously.

Follow up on the annual guidance plan and the extent to which its sections are achieved.

Hold discussion sessions at the end of each semester for each academic stage to discuss the teachings, exams and results of the semester and submit them to the college deanship.
