In the continuous and diligent efforts by the faculty members of the College of Medicine at Al-Nahrain University to keep up with the latest scientific and medical developments worldwide, and with the continuous support of the college administration, Professor Dr. Mahmoud Shaker Khudair, a faculty member in the Department of Internal Medicine at the college, participated with two research papers at the annual conference of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists - Middle East and North Africa (AACE MENA), which was recently held in Dubai. The first research paper discussed the impact of COVID-19 on thyroid function in hospitalized patients. The second paper addressed the level of diabetes control in hospitalized patients infected with COVID-19. It is worth mentioning that this conference is considered one of the important global conferences in the field of endocrine research, where endocrinology experts and doctors from various parts of the world participate.
