On Tuesday, September 3, 2024, the Master’s thesis defense of *Zahraa Haider Radhi* from the Department of Pharmacology took place. Her thesis is titled:
**"Effects of Lecithin and Tangeretin in Cyclophosphamide-Induced Infertility in Male Rats."**

### Study Objectives:
The current study aimed to evaluate the effects of lecithin and tangeretin as antioxidants on sperm parameters, reproductive organ tissues, and hormonal profiles in rats. These findings contribute to a better understanding of the potential protective effects of lecithin and tangeretin against cyclophosphamide-induced infertility in males. Treatment with lecithin and tangeretin as antioxidants resulted in significant improvements in the Gonadosomatic Index (GSI%) and sperm parameters, including increased sperm concentration, progressive motility, and viable sperm count, along with decreased sluggish motility, non-motile sperm, and dead sperm. Additionally, administration of these agents led to an increase in testosterone and GPx levels with decreased levels of MDA, AOPP, LH, and FSH compared to the untreated induced group. Furthermore, lecithin and tangeretin supplementation significantly improved histopathological outcomes, indicating a protective effect on reproductive organ function and structure.
