As part of the activities of the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Medicine, Al-Nahrain University, a training course titled "ELISA: Principles, Methods, and Applications" was held in person, covering both its theoretical and practical components in the Department of Microbiology. The course lasted for one week from October 13 to 17, 2024, and was attended by a distinguished group of faculty members, postgraduate students, and laboratory and healthcare professionals. The course was delivered by Dr. Arwa Majeed Abdullah (Professor), Dr. Quds Wameed Jalal (Associate Professor), and Dr. Halima Salman Saleh (Lecturer). 
The course covered the theoretical understanding of the ELISA technique, its types, and its applications in the medical field, vaccine development, immunology, and diagnostics. Participants were provided with theoretical materials and a manual summarizing the standard operating procedures for the equipment. Additionally, practical training on the ELISA technique was conducted.
