"Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Medicine, University of Al-Nahrain, Professor Dr. Anis Khalil Nail, the Supportive Sciences Unit, in collaboration with the Continuing Education Unit, is organizing an online workshop titled: 'The Herbal Book of Ancient Mesopotamia: Identification of Plants and the Use of Medicinal Herbs 4,000 Years Ago' Lecturer: Dr. Barbara Böck, Senior Researcher at the Spanish National Research Council. The session will be moderated by Assistant Professor Dr. Mazen Kamel Hamed & Lecturer Dr. Bushra Juhi Jani. **Objective of the lecture:** The lecture aims to shed light on the knowledge and application of medicinal plants in the civilization of Mesopotamia 4,000 years ago. Through this session, the identification and use of medicinal herbs in traditional treatments during that era will be explored. It will also delve into aspects of magic and ancient medicine based on the books authored by the researcher, including *'Healing Goddess Gula: Towards Understanding Ancient Babylonian Medicine'* (Brill, 2013) and *'The Herbal Book of Ancient Mesopotamia'* (Q Publications, 2023).
