The monthly Surgical Pathology Symposium was held on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at 8:00 AM in the lecture hall of the expansion building at the Imamayn Al-Kadhimayn Medical City. The speaker for the symposium was Assistant Professor Dr. Nora Mustafa Kareem (Pathology Specialist, Fellow of the Arab Board of Health Specializations, Diploma from the Royal College of Pathologists, UK). The symposium was focused on breast tumors and the key laboratory and genetic tests that aid in their treatment. The event was attended by faculty members from the Department of Surgery, general surgery specialists from the hospital, oncology specialists, and trainees from both the Arab and Iraqi Boards in Surgery and Pathology.
