Under the patronage of the Dean of Al-Nahrain College of Medicine, Prof. Anis Khalil Nail, and in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit, the Department of Family and Community Medicine organized a free training course entitled: “Primary Health Care Programs in Iraq” The course was attended by faculty members, postgraduate students, Iraqi Board candidates, and undergraduate students. It was held at the Department of Family and Community Medicine hall and presented by Assist. Prof. Dr. Nebras Alaa Hussein, who addressed the most important programs provided by the Ministry of Health, highlighting their characteristics and the challenges they face. The lectures were delivered by Assist. Prof. Dr. Nebras Alaa Hussein, Assist. Prof. Dr. Miathaq Hassan, and Assist. Prof. Dr. Lama Kareem Mohammed. It is worth mentioning that this course comes as part of the College’s commitment to enhancing knowledge and skills in the field of primary health care, contributing to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being), Goal 4 (Quality Education), and Goal 1 (No Poverty), through strengthening health services as a supportive element for sustainable development.
