| The branch was founded in 1987. It supervises a group of theoretical and clinical courses for undergraduate students from the third to the sixth year.
The branch consists of the following subdivisions:

| Performing a cervical spinal canal decompression surgery between the sixth and seventh cervical vertebrae at Dar Al-Tamreed Hospital. |
As part of the activities of the faculty members in the Department of Surgery at the College of Medicine, Al-Nahrain University, and in collaboration with state institutions to provide medical services to the community, a cervical spinal canal decompression surgery between the sixth and seventh cervical vertebrae was performed at the Dar Al-Tamreed Hospital for a 63-year-old male patient suffering from weakness in both the upper and lower limbs. The surgery was successfully conducted by Prof. Dr. Ihsan Sobhi, after which the patient recovered and was discharged from the hospital a few days later in excellent health, thank God.

| Performing a cervical spinal canal decompression surgery for a patient suffering from weakness in all four limbs and difficulty walking. |
A 53-year-old female patient underwent cervical spinal canal decompression surgery due to weakness in all four limbs and difficulty walking, caused by compression of the cervical spinal cord at the C5 and C6 vertebrae. The surgery was successfully completed in about two hours, and the patient was discharged the next day in excellent health, thank God.
